Okay, so I know that sounds ironic but there are some really good tips to keep you happier and healthier if you’re anorexic.
There are ways to consume tons of food without consuming tons of calories and there are ways to make your fasting days easier on your body.
Note- I am in college living alone so these are much easier for me but ill try to make them where you can do them even if you live at home
TIPS
1. Find foods that you can eat a ton of and keep your calorie goals
Make spinach your new best friend. Spinach has 7 calories per cup. If you throw 4 cups of spinach in a pot over your stove with some homemade lite pesto (ask me for the recipe) you’re going to end up with a meal that is bigger than you can even finish for under 40 calories. Plus, spinach is STUPID good for you. Like its ridiculous how much good shit is in it.
And you might be thinking “but I dont like spinach!” ummmmm you have the willpower to starve yourself down to nothing but not eat spinach? ok
2. Don’t just drink water on fast days. First things first you need to be taking vitamins. Every day. Especially on fast days. Yes they have calories, yes you still need to take them. Ones to make sure you have are

As a bare minimum take a womens daily multivitamin and a hair vitamin
These will help you avoid dying. So yes, take them. Especially the hair gummies oh my god they’re delicious and hairloss and nail damage are both common side effects of ana and mia. Its a lot easier to prevent hair loss than it is to regrow whats falling out. Think about that for a second.
3. Hot tea > cold water in the winter months
while cold water burns more calories, warm water will help keep you feeling warmer as the temperature drops. Trust me, the negligible calorie difference PALES in comparison to how much happier you’ll be if you’re not cold. The feeling of cold is unrelenting and can make you miserable. Also, tea has added benefits linked to weight loss and added vitamins
My favorite is honey vanilla chamomile tea. Extra pro tip, reuse the bags to save money. I’ll drink like 8 cups in a row like a crazy person and I’ll use the same 2 bags for all of them because tea can get expencive when you’re drinking a lot
